Herby Fish Steak
Fish is filled with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins , calcium, phosphorus and is a great source of minerals, like iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium. Try this herby fish steak recipe using halibut fish, some garlic, lemon juice and dried basil!
2 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cup olive oil
2 tsp dried basil
2 tsp salt
2 tsp ground black pepper
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
6 oz fillets halibut
1. In a stainless steel or glass bowl, combine garlic, olive oil, basil, salt, pepper, lemon juice and parsley.
2. Place the fillets in a shallow glass dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the fish. Cover or seal and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
3. Preheat an outdoor grill or high heat and lightly oil the grate. Set a grate 4 inches from the heat. You can also grill the fillets in an oven grill.
4. Remove fillets from the marinade and drain off the excess. Grill fillets 5 minutes per side or until fish is done when easily flaked with a fork.
